Εφαρμογή Διεθνούς Προτύπου Μέτρησης Ακινήτων στην Κύπρο
Ένα νέο πρότυπο που θα φέρει διαφάνεια και συνέπεια στην παγκόσμια αγορά ακινήτων, το Διεθνές Πρότυπο Μέτρησης Ακινήτου (IPMS) φιλοδοξούμε να υιοθετήσουμε και στη χώρα μας, μετά από πρωτοβουλία του RICS Κύπρου.
To νέο αυτό πρότυπο είναι αποτέλεσμα παγκόσμιων προσπαθειών, από πολλούς οργανισμούς, για τη διαμόρφωση μιας ενιαίας μεθόδου μέτρησης ακινήτων και θα αντικαταστήσει δεκάδες υπάρχοντα πρότυπα που χρησιμοποιούνταν ανά τον κόσμο. http://www.rics.org/cy/news/news-insight/press-releases/code-of-measuring-practice-cyprus/
Transfer fees: in Cyprus Immovable property is subject to a transfer fee based on the sale price approved by Land Office as follows:
Capital Gains Tax: a rate of 20% is payable on profit made from the disposal of immovable property.
Immovable Property Tax: Any immovable property whose value exceeds €120.000 (market value as at 10.01.1980) is subject to tax. Certain immovable properties are exempt.

Stamp duty: 1.5% per thousand up to the value of €170,560 and rate of 2% per any additional thousand. Efficient period to deposit the contract in the Land Registry is 30 days from the contract signing.
Local Authorities taxes: minor taxes may impose for sewage; refuse collection and other communal utilities. These fesses are varying according to the property size.
